Ingredients

½ lb turkey sausage

1 poblano, diced

8oz cremini mushrooms, diced

1/2 red onion

5oz spinach

2 Cups all-purpose flour

½ tsp baking soda

1 Tbsp baking powder

½ tsp kosher salt

1 Cup heavy cream

Directions

Sauté mushrooms on stove over medium-high heat until most moisture has evaporated. Add turkey sausage, poblano, and red onion and cook until sausage is cooked and onions are translucent. Mix in spinach and cook until wilted. Set aside to cool.

Preheat the oven to 375 °F. Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add the cream and filling and mix until just combined.

Dump the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Roll the dough out to a rectangle about ½ inch thick. Using a floured biscuit cutter, cut out biscuits.

Place the cut biscuits on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Allow to cool slightly before serving.
